The name of this hammam refers to the Andalusian mystic Ibn Abbad. this great scholar was born in Ronda in the south of Andalusia in 732 of the hegira \/ 1333. He settled in Fez where he became the imam of the al Quaraouiyine mosque for fifteen years. It is located in the corner of Place Seffarine which connects it to Sabat Lahyadriyine. This hammam was also known as Qafqaf, named after Ain Qafqaf, a spring located within the mosque of al Qaraouiyine.
