Fez is the oldest of the country’s four imperial cities, alongside Rabat, Meknes, and Marrakech. Fez has been considered the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco since time immemorial. Indeed, the venerable walls of its mosques, schools, palaces, and other monuments have seen the passing of some of the most brilliant minds that this land has ever known. Today, Fez is the third largest city in Morocco with over one million inhabitants.
